Description of Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC-C) Cable Conduit

PVC-C pipe is a new type of buried high-voltage power cable protection pipe, which is made of PVC C resin as raw material, with auxiliary materials such as impact resistance agent and stabilizer as master batch, and processed by high-speed extruder.

Buried PVC-C cable conduit has excellent heat resistance, the core temperature of high-voltage power cables during normal operation varies with the level of voltage. For example, when the core temperature of a cable carrying a voltage of 110KVA is transmitted to the casing, it is about 65°C under normal conditions, and can reach 75°C under overload conditions. PVC-C material has a heat distortion temperature of up to 93°C, can adapt to high temperature environments, and has the characteristics of good flexibility, not easy to break with long service life.

  • 1. Good material properties: PVC-C Cable Conduits are mainly made of PVC-C resin with excellent heat resistance and insulation properties. PVC-C products are recognized as green and environmentally friendly products. The PVC-C Cable Conduits is a hard straight solid wall pipe, the inner and outer walls are smooth and flat. The color is bright and eye-catching orange-red.

Heat resistance: Compared with the common UPVC double-wall corrugated pipe, the heat-resistant temperature of PVC-C Cable Conduits is increased by 15 °C, and the Vicat softening temperature is above 93 °C. The pipe does not deform under high temperature environment and has sufficient strength.
  • 3. Insulation performance: PVC-C Cable Conduits can withstand high voltages of more than 30,000 volts.
  • 4. Compression resistance: After material modification of PVC-C Cable Conduits, the product ring stiffness reaches 10Kpa.
  • 5. High impact strength: The PVC-C Cable Conduits can withstand the impact force of 1kg heavy hammer and 2m height at the temperature of 0 ℃. It is fully reflects the low temperature impact performance of the material and meet the requirements of construction environment conditions.
  • 6. Flame retardant properties: Both PVC and PVC-C materials have good flame retardant properties and can be extinguished immediately after leaving the fire. Chlorine content of PVC-C material is significantly higher than that of PVC, the flame retardancy and smoke density index are highly improved.
  • 7. Installation performance: PVC-C Cable Conduits is light in weight, high in strength, and simple in construction and laying method. The elastic sealing rubber ring socket-type connection is adopted, which is convenient and fast for installation and connection. It has good connection and sealing performance, which can prevent groundwater leakage and protect the safety of power cables..
  • 8. Long service life: PVC-C Cable Conduits material is corrosion-resistant, anti-aging, and has a service life of over 50 years.
