Description of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) electro fusion welding fitting with bar code

Electrofusion pipe fitting is plastic (polyethylene) pipe fitting which can be connected by the temperature generated from electric current. It provides fast, durable and safe connections for water and gas pipeline installations.

HDPE electrofusion fittings ends are coiled with brass wire. The HDPE electrofusion machine provides electric current and heats through the brass wire coiled at the end of the fitting to connect. When the temperature rises, it melts the inner end of the HDPE electrofusion fitting and the outer end of the HDPE pipe. In order to achieve a perfect welding effect, the HDPE pipe should remove the oxide layer at the welded end. At the same time, the gap between the outer diameter of the HDPE pipe and the inner diameter of the HDPE electrofusion pipe should be as small as possible.

For easy working, all HDPE electrofusion joints have barcodes, showing welding voltage/welding time/cooling time, etc. Welding data also imprinted on the accessories, and installers can easily set the welding data on the welder to complete the welding job.

  • 1. Welding is simpler and easier: HDPE electrofusion machine is small and light, it can perform electrofusion work in some cases where butt fusion cannot, and the welding quality is stable.
  • 2. Reliable connection: When the pipe is inserted into the HDPE electrofusion fitting, it will fully electrofuse on the brass coil in the covered area. The wide welding area ensures the reliability of the connection.
  • 3. The inner diameter of the pipe remains unchanged: Unlike HDPE butt weld fittings, HDPE electrofusion fittings have the same inner diameter (or slightly larger) than the outer diameter of the pipe. Therefore, the inner diameter of the pipe remains the same and smooth after welding, which will allow the maximum water flow.
