Assembly fittings With its ability to accommodate non-traditional angles, fabricated fittings are often used in 12-inch and larger applications where molded fittings cannot be used. Being able to use specialized fusion cells for machining and manufacturing, its flexibility allows create exactly what customers need.

Segmented joints are the latest technology in large diameter polyethylene pressure piping systems. Max. injection molded fittings are available in 1200mm OD and moulded stub ends and end caps are available in 1600mm OD. Segmented joint is the first choice at larger diameters fitting. High-quality pipe and proper welding method are most important to ensure the required stability,uniformity, and strength.

It is important to know that PE100 fittings which made from PE100 pipes will have reduced pressure ratings. The maximum allowable working pressure will be derated once the fabricated fittings are attached to the pipe, and different PE fitting geometries has different derating factors.

For tees made from pipe sections, the following derating rules for calculating PN shall apply:

PN = fT×PNpipe

where fT is the derating factor for these tees with a value of 0.5;

PNpipe is the nominal pressure of the pipe.

For elbows made from pipe sections, the following derating rules for calculating PN shall apply:

PN = fB×PNpipe

where Fb is the derating factor related to the design of the bending section as follows;

Characteristics And Advantages of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) socket fusion fittings：
