Description of PE100-RC HDPE Pipe for Water & Gas

1. The polyethylene pipe materials have gone through 4 stages.

The first stage started in the 1950s, and mainly consisted of polyethylene macromolecules without branching; the second was PE80 material; the third was PE100 material; the fourth passed the Molecular structure design. 1. Resin PE125, which is realized by PE cross-linking, is one level higher than PE100, which can make PE pipe withstand higher pressure when the pipe wall is very thin, and the current production cost is high, Still in the development stage. 2. Further improve the slow crack growth resistance and rapid crack growth resistance of PE pipes. Under the action of external scratches and point loads, it can still reach a design service life of 100 years, that is, crack-resistant polyethylene PE100-RC ( RC: Resist Crack, resistant to cracking), representing the product is PE100-RC with a bimodal relative molecular mass distribution of hexene copolymerization.

As crack resistance PE100-RC (PE100 with Resistant to Cracks), according to the definition in GB/T18475-2001 (ISO 12162: 1995) [The overall use (design) factor for the classification and designation of thermoplastic pressure pipes and fittings], its According to the pressure classification level of the material, it is still a PE100 pressure pipe material. At the same time, due to its excellent resistance to slow crack growth (stress cracking), it is defined as a crack-resistant PE100- RC, PE100 pipe compound/APE100 compound with a significantly enhanced resistance to slow crack growth (Stress Cracking Resistance).

PE100-RC pipe has excellent resistance to slow crack growth, so it can cope with harsh environments, and can still achieve a design service life of 100 years under the effect of scratches on the outer wall and point loads. PE100-RC inherits the technical advantages of PE pipes and can be used for pipeline renewal, trenchless installation and rapid pipeline laying technology.
